Telemetry Float Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Location: West Burlington, IA
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 36 hours/week with possible overtime; every other weekend and holiday rotation
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
About the Role
You'll join a float pool serving multiple inpatient units, delivering nursing care across medical/surgical, telemetry, geriatric, adult, and psychiatric populations. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in close collaboration with patients, families, and care team members.
Floating Assignments
You'll rotate through non-critical care inpatient units at the main campus and may occasionally travel to partner campuses. If you hold critical care credentials, you may float to the CCU or ICU. Floating may also include the Emergency Department and Behavioral Health during patient surges.
Clinical Details
- Occasional on-call during low census periods (respond within one hour if called)
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- Current ACLS certification
- Experience with electronic medical records in a similar unit within the last 12 months
- Pre-arrival requirement: Self-study telemetry strips; you'll complete a Basic Dysrhythmia test during your first week
Standard onboarding requirements include background check, immunizations, and skills verification.
