This Emergency Department travel RN position is a 13-week night shift contract based in Reidsville, NC.

Schedule & Coverage

• Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays as needed — must work 2 of 4 holidays during the contract
• Float to other campuses required as needed

Unit Overview

This combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department cares for patients across the full age spectrum — neonates through geriatrics. The unit manages high-acuity presentations including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, STEMI, neuro-trauma, and orthopedic trauma. Telemedicine capability is available, and robust interdisciplinary support includes respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, and social services.

Required Skills

• Arterial line and central line management
• Ventilator care, BiPAP/CPAP management
• IV vasopressors and continuous IV sedation
• Blood product administration
• Procedural sedation monitoring
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• , ABG interpretation, ICP monitoring

Certifications Required

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS — TNCC preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Electronic health record experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• No candidates within 50 miles of the facility
• RTO must be submitted with initial application
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Background check must show no open cases
