Labor and Delivery Nurse
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Labor and Delivery nurse for a 13-week contract beginning October 25, 2026. You'll work the evening shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in a high-volume perinatal service delivering comprehensive care across the full spectrum of obstetric patients.
Unit & Scope
This is a fast-paced labor and delivery environment managing over 500 deliveries per month. You'll care for low-risk, high-risk, and antepartum patients across labor/delivery/recovery suites, cesarean operating rooms, , and mother-baby couplet units. The facility maintains 24-hour in-house obstetric, anesthesia, and neonatal coverage, plus an active perinatal transport program.
Requirements
- Valid Texas RN license
- BLS Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery/perinatal experience in a high-volume setting
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- 3–5 years perinatal experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
Contract Details
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week assignment
- Evening/night shift
