Step-Down Nurse – Nights | Morgantown, WV
We are seeking an experienced Step-Down Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in Morgantown, WV, with a target start date of October 3, 2026.
Shift Details
- 12-hour nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Unit & Role
This Step-Down position supports intermediate-acuity patients in an acute care environment. Nurses in this role are expected to manage a patient population requiring close monitoring and skilled nursing intervention, bridging the gap between intensive and general medical-surgical care.
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license (West Virginia or applicable compact license)
- Current BLS certification
- Step-Down or Progressive Care experience preferred
- Candidate's home address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
- BSN not required
Additional Notes
- Candidates may only hold one active submission within this health system at a time
- Previous permanent staff are eligible to apply after a 2-year separation
- Travel nurses who completed a full year at this facility must have a 2-year gap before resubmission
