House Supervisor / Transfer Center Coordinator — Registered Nurse

West Burlington, IA | Nights | 13-Week Contract

This position offers a dual-role opportunity combining nursing leadership and patient transfer coordination. Night shift hours run approximately 18:30–07:00 (House Supervisor) and 19:00–07:30 (Transfer Center Coordinator), with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Weekend and holiday rotation is required.

House Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Assume oversight of nursing units and ancillary departments in the absence of Nurse Managers and Administration
• Represent nursing leadership through professional conduct and staff supervision
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and evidence-based practices
• Work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
• Occasional shifts at a satellite campus in the House Supervisor role

Transfer Center Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Serve as the central communication point between referring facilities, physicians, nursing leadership, bed management, and ancillary departments
• Coordinate safe, timely patient transfers into, within, and out of the health system
• Arrange transportation and accommodations for patient transfers
• Ensure compliance with state and federal transfer regulations
• Maintain thorough records of all transfer activity for quality assurance purposes

Requirements:

• Active RN licensure (Iowa or compact)
• Recent clinical charting experience within the last 12 months required
• House Supervisor or nursing leadership experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
