OR Nurse — Night Shift | Philadelphia, PA | 13-Week Contract

This opportunity is in a high-acuity surgical setting managing a diverse and complex caseload, including trauma, vascular, orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgical cases. Candidates must bring both scrub and circulating experience and be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume OR environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 4×10-hour shifts (19:00–05:00)
• Manager may consider a hybrid schedule of two 8-hour and two 12-hour shifts
• 1 worked weekend per contract period
• Up to 6 weekday on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
• 2 weekend on-call shifts per contract
• Holiday coverage required (summer and winter)

Float

• May float to GI unit or a sister ambulatory surgery center

Clinical Skills Required

• Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, carotid artery stenting, AV fistula repair, femoral-popliteal bypass
• Craniotomy, anterior cervical fusion, spinal fusion, ALIF, XLIF, laminectomy/discectomy, kyphoplasty
• Total joint replacement, arthroscopic and orthopedic scrub, trauma (GSW/stab wounds, MVA)
• Liver and kidney surgical experience required

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania or compact RN license at time of submission
• BSN required
• Minimum 3 years of experience, including Level I and Level II trauma
• TNCC and BLS required
• Previous charge experience required
• Prior travel experience required — no first-time travelers
• No open time-off requests at submission; block scheduling not available
