Respiratory Therapist — Night Shift | West Burlington, IA

13-Week Contract | Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

This position supports a full-spectrum respiratory therapy department serving a diverse patient population across the lifespan — from neonates through geriatric patients. Some pediatric experience is preferred given the breadth of populations served.

Role Overview

The Respiratory Therapist assumes primary responsibility for respiratory care modalities, including supervising respiratory therapy students. Core duties include:

• Initiating and conducting therapeutic procedures
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Selecting, assembling, checking, and operating respiratory care equipment
• Assessing, treating, and managing patients with breathing disorders across all acuity levels

Schedule & Expectations

• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• On-call required once per scheduling period
• Coverage of other shifts may occasionally be needed
• Up to one mandatory low-census shift per week may be implemented based on patient volume

Requirements

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license (required for submission)
• Recent experience in pediatric respiratory care preferred
• Current immunizations and health screening compliance required upon onboarding
