Emergency Room RN — Travel Contract
West Burlington, IA | 13-Week Assignment
This Emergency Department opportunity places you in a fast-paced acute care setting where you'll deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care across a broad range of patient acuities and presentations.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour days: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
- Every other weekend rotation
- Every other holiday
Role Overview
The ED RN is responsible for rapid, accurate and prioritization of every patient entering the emergency care system. Duties include assessment, care planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Requirements
- Active RN license
- ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI/MOAB certifications required
- Recent ED experience within the last 12 months
- Candidates must self-study telemetry strips prior to or upon acceptance; a Basic Dysrhythmia test is administered during the first week of orientation and must be passed to practice in this department
Call Expectations
Travelers are not part of a standing call rotation but may be placed on call during low-census periods. If called in, you must be able to arrive on-site within one hour.
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Strong candidates will bring emergency department experience, comfort managing high-acuity and undifferentiated patients, and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic care environment.
