Surgery RN – General, Bariatric & Head & Neck Surgery
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Surgery RN to join the General, Bariatric, and Head & Neck Surgery unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment, with a focus on patients requiring tracheostomy and laryngectomy management.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Days: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Duration: 12-week contract
- Start Date: October 4, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive pre- and post-operative nursing care
- Monitor vital signs and manage patient recovery protocols
- Assist with tracheostomy and laryngectomy care and education
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Support a high-volume surgical schedule in a skilled, detail-oriented team environment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (GA or Compact states)
- Current AHA BLS certification (valid through at least 10/01/2026)
- Demonstrated expertise in surgical nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
