CVOR Nurse – Travel Assignment

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced CVOR nurse to join the perioperative team. This is a travel assignment in Atlanta, GA, with a contract duration of 8 weeks, beginning October 4, 2026.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
  • Current RN license (Georgia)
  • CNOR certification preferred

Schedule & Expectations

  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week; ~70+ hours per four-week period)
  • One Friday, one Saturday, and one Sunday shift per rotation (non-consecutive)
  • Weekday shifts: 5 PM–11 PM and 11 PM–7 AM
  • Weekend/holiday shifts: 7 AM–7 PM and 7 PM–7 AM
  • Holiday rotation required, including weekends surrounding holidays
  • Typically 1 day notice for scheduled cases
  • On-call responsibilities limited to booked location

Clinical Scope

You'll support cardiac surgical cases in a fast-paced perioperative environment. CVOR-specific duties include patient preparation, instrumentation, sponge/needle/sharps counts, equipment management, and post-operative handoff to recovery.

Float Requirements

You may be asked to float between multiple campuses within the healthcare system. Assignments are scheduled in advance when possible.
