Operating Room – Surgical First Assist
Position Overview
The facility's operating room is seeking an experienced Surgical First Assist RN for a 13-week contract. You'll work day shifts in a high-volume OR managing diverse surgical specialties and acuities.
Schedule & Call Requirements
- Day shift: 3x12-hour (07:30–19:55) or 4x10-hour shifts accepted
- Call rotation required:
- Monday–Friday: 18:00–06:00 (kidney call)
- Saturday–Sunday: 06:00–18:00 (kidney call) and 07:00–17:00 (general call)
- Holidays: 07:00–17:00 (general call)
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Expect potential float to nearby sister facilities
Requirements
- 3+ years scrub and circulating experience as an RN in the OR (required)
- Proficiency in: robotics, bariatric, general, colorectal, ortho/spine, vascular, urology, and gynecology
- BLS, CRNFA, and current California RN license
- Compact license preferred
- At least 1 year of prior experience required

Important
Flexibility with the contracted schedule is expected. Communication devices will be provided as needed.
