Med/Surg Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for day shift work. You'll care for stable to moderate-acuity patients on a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing post-operative and medical patients.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• 13-week contract
• Start date: October 23, 2026

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (must be active at time of submission)
• Permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand at submission
• One professional reference required (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director from past 12 months)
• BCI/FBI background check must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Negative 10-panel drug screen (within 12 months of start date)
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments required during orientation; acceptable scores mandatory to continue

Additional Information

• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available)
• Extension options available after 18 months (6-month break required; facility may defer on case-by-case basis)
• Annual hands-on competency required for continuous contracts of 1+ years
• Background checks reviewed by facility; open cases or license issues disqualify candidates

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates have solid telemetry experience, strong assessment skills, and comfort with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation. Professional references and a clean background are essential.
