Cardiac Telemetry RN — Greenville, SC | 13-Week Contract
This cardiac telemetry unit provides comprehensive, around-the-clock nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular conditions, with a primary focus on heart failure management — both during inpatient stays and in coordinating post-hospitalization services.
Schedule
- Day shift: 3x12 hours (07:00–19:30)
- Weekend coverage: every other weekend (flexibility required based on unit need)
- Float to other units may be required based on census
Clinical Scope
- Continuous EKG and oxygen saturation monitoring via telemetry (on-unit and remote)
- Administration of IV and oral medications for cardiac conditions and arrhythmias
- Patient preparation for cardiac interventions, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures
- Management of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, and cardiac drips (no titration)
- Pre/post cardiac catheterization and angiogram care
- Central line care, pacemaker management (temporary and permanent), and wound care
Required Certifications & Licensure
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Active South Carolina RN license
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry RN experience
- First-time travelers must have 3 years of specialty experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience with an electronic health records system
Additional Details
- Patient population: adults and geriatrics
- Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
- Pre-assignment modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials (up to 16 hours reimbursable)
- Orientation held every Monday
- Start date: October 26, 2026
