Behavioral Health RN — Travel Contract

Latrobe, PA | Nights | 13-Week Contract

This inpatient behavioral health unit primarily serves adolescent and pediatric patients, with mood disorders as the predominant diagnosis. Candidates with dual experience in both pediatric and adult behavioral health are strongly preferred, though highly qualified adult-only BH candidates will be considered.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3×12-hour shifts
• Every other holiday required
• Weekend coverage expected

Clinical Details

• Patient population: Adolescents and pediatrics (adult BH experience a plus)
• Primary diagnoses: Mood disorders
• Robust interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, rapid response, and interpretation services

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of behavioral health RN experience
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license required
• Certifications: BLS required; CPI or CCM required (AHA-issued certifications only)
• Charge experience a plus
• Electronic health records experience preferred

Float Expectations

• Must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius

Onboarding Notes

• Pre-start online modules (~1 hour) must be completed before entering the facility
• Fingerprinting, drug screen, and required labs must be completed within 24–48 hours of signing
• All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to start date
• Two supervisor references preferred
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible
