Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Travel Contract
Greensboro, NC | Nights | 26-Week Contract
This is a 26-week commitment only — candidates unwilling to accept the full contract length will not be considered.
Shift: 3x12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: Every other weekend, holiday rotation included
Start Date: October 19, 2026
About the Unit
The unit primarily serves a Medical-Surgical patient population on a telemetry-capable floor. All RNs must be comfortable with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation regardless of their primary specialty background.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Blood product administration and peripheral line care/management
- IV insertion and maintenance; PICC line management
- Heparin, insulin, and PCA administration
- Nasal cannula and BiPAP/CPAP management
- Isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Wound care, surgical drain management, feeding tube care
- Colostomy/ileostomy care
- Participation in Rapid Response/Code teams
- Charge RN coverage as needed
- Float to other campus locations as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Prior Charge RN experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- BLS and NIHSS certifications
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
Additional Requirements
- No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
- No open background cases
- Requested time off must be submitted with application; no post-submission RTO accepted
- Third-party education verification required
- Non-billable orientation modules (approximately 2–4 hours) required
