Stroke & Brain Unit RN — Kansas City, MO

PCU | Nights | 13-Week Contract

This position supports a dedicated Stroke & Brain unit providing specialized neurological and cardiac monitoring care. The unit manages stroke patients and those requiring telemetry oversight, with tech support available on shift.

Schedule

• 4 × 12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:00)
• 3 shifts per week; 3–4 weekend shifts per month
• 48 hours guaranteed per week

Clinical Scope

• Stroke and neurology patient population
• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip management
• Basic dysrhythmia recognition
• Tech support available on unit

Float Requirements

Staff may be floated to other areas based on demonstrated clinical competency.

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Required Experience & Skills

• Stroke and neurology experience (required)
• Telemetry experience (required)
• Cardiac drip management
• Basic dysrhythmia interpretation
