Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 48/week

Unit Overview
Clinical Scope & Procedures
Nurses on this unit are expected to manage:
- Vasoactive medication administration (IV)
- Ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring
- Chest tube management
- Arterial line and central line care
- Ventriculostomy care
- Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
- Therapeutic hypothermia
- ECMO
- Moderate sedation
- Cardiac rhythm identification and management
- Stroke patient care
Float Requirements
Floating may occur to like units including neurological/surgical ICU, cardiac telemetry, progressive care, burn, and ED overflow areas.
Scheduling
Three 12-hour night shifts per week; every other weekend required (or 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period).
Required Certifications
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (NIHSS preferred; TNCC a plus)
Minimum Experience
- 2 years of ICU experience required; advanced hemodynamic and ventilator management skills essential
Dress Code
- Navy scrub top (must be a scrub top, no t-shirts)
- Navy or black scrub bottoms
- Solid navy, white, or black jackets and undershirts
