Medical-Surgical Nurse – Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment on a night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). You will provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit with a cardiac and telemetry population.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition changes to the care team.
• Serve as primary coordinator across all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated care.
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Active RN license (verified via Nursys).
• Current license/certificate verification.
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
• Comfort with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient care.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems.

Unit Details

• Medical-surgical unit with cardiac and telemetry focus.
• Navy or maroon scrubs required.
• 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Contract Terms

• Duration: 13 weeks
