Cardiothoracic Operating Room Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Operating Room (CVOR) nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care in the operating room, supporting complex open-heart and cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 3 twelve-hour shifts per week + call
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Requirements
- License: Active New York State Nursing License in good standing
- Education: Associate Degree minimum; Baccalaureate or higher preferred (from an accredited school)
- Experience: Previous open-heart/cardiothoracic surgical nursing experience is required
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; PALS preferred
- Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccination required (no declination forms accepted)
Preferred Qualifications
- American Nurses Association-endorsed certification or Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses certification
- Advanced cardiac specialty training
