Operating Room Nurse
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Operating Room Nurse for a full-time contract role. You'll provide direct patient care throughout the surgical process, from pre-operative preparation through post-operative recovery. This position offers the opportunity to work with a skilled surgical team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- On-call: Yes; 1–2 weekend days per 13-week period
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Contract duration: 91 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and support patients throughout surgical procedures
- Educate patients on procedure outcomes and recovery expectations
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical technologists
- Monitor patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery
- Respond to patient needs and support optimal recovery
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in the Operating Room (required)
- CVOR certification (preferred)
- Current Oklahoma RN license
- Professional work history
