Open Heart / Cardiothoracic Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Open Heart / Cardiothoracic Nurse for a 13-week assignment in the cardiac operating room. You'll work 12-hour day shifts (10:30 AM – 11:00 PM), 36 hours per week plus on-call responsibilities.
Requirements
- Active New York State Nursing License in good standing
- Associate degree in nursing minimum; BSN preferred
- Must have prior Open Heart / Cardiothoracic experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions not accepted)
The Role
You'll provide perioperative nursing care for cardiac surgical patients, assisting with open-heart procedures and cardiothoracic cases. The role includes intraoperative support, patient monitoring, and collaboration with the surgical team in a fast-paced acute care setting.
