Medical-Surgical RN | Night Shift | Salem, VA
This 13-week travel contract places you on a busy Medical-Surgical unit focused on post-operative care. The unit runs a fast-paced environment with a collaborative team across all shifts.
Shift & Schedule
- 19:00–07:00 (12-hour nights)
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Clinical Scope
The unit primarily serves post-operative patients requiring close monitoring and hands-on nursing care. Typical responsibilities include:
- Post-operative patient management
- Wound care and dressing changes
- Drain maintenance and management
- IV therapy
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with post-operative patient populations
- Proficiency in wound care, dressing changes, and drain management
