Telemetry Nurse – Observation Unit
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry Nurse to join the Observation Unit on the night shift. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced telemetry environment, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing patients with varying acuity levels.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
- Guaranteed hours
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months nursing experience
- Active Georgia state license or current compact license
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Ability to manage non-cardiac drips (heparin, insulin, etc.)
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
What You'll Do
Monitor patients on telemetry, interpret cardiac rhythms, and respond promptly to dysrhythmias. Manage medication infusions, document patient responses, and communicate changes with the clinical team. You'll work independently while supporting colleagues in a collaborative unit environment.
