Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Pediatric Hematology/Oncology nurse for a 13-week contract starting January 4, 2027. This is a day shift role (7 PM–7 AM) working 36 hours per week in a pediatric unit managing hematology and oncology patients alongside general pediatric cases.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 7 PM–7 AM, 36 hrs/week
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Holiday rotation: You must work 1–2 of the 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• No call

Clinical Scope

Requirements

• Active Iowa or compact/multistate RN license
• Pediatric AND Hematology/Oncology experience within the past 18 months
• Minimum 24 months total Pediatric and/or Oncology experience
• Completed at least 1 travel contract within the past 18 months (no first-time travelers)
• APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses) certification
• BLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) certifications
• Electronic medical record experience within the past 12 months
• Valid driver's license

Preferred

• Professional reference from supervisor/manager/director dated within 24 months

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
