Emergency Department RN – Night Shift
Schedule & Duration
- 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36-hour weekly guarantee
- 13-week contract
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
The Role
You'll join a busy emergency department treating a full spectrum of medical emergencies—from acute injuries and trauma to cardiac events, poisonings, and psychiatric crises. Working alongside physicians, nurses, and paramedics trained in emergency medicine, you'll provide rapid assessment, stabilization, and care coordination for patients requiring inpatient admission or transfer.
The department includes dedicated trauma rooms, pediatric and psychiatric care areas, and a specialized decontamination area for hazardous material responses.
Requirements
- 2+ years of emergency department experience
- Minimum 3 months of previous travel nursing (non-negotiable)
- Rural or small facility experience required
- Active New Hampshire RN license (or compact license)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Own vehicle required
- TNCC highly preferred
- Cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
Important Notes
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application; no scheduling changes approved after offer
- Limited to 5 days PTO; must work Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year holiday blocks as scheduled
- No concurrent permanent or travel assignments
- No block scheduling or schedule accommodations available
