Medical-Surgical Nursing – Nights

The Position

The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical RN for its pulmonary unit. You'll work nights on a 4x12 schedule (48 hours/week, with a 36-hour/week option available). This is a 13-week contract with a start date of October 26, 2026.

Unit Overview

Schedule & Expectations

• Nights: 4x12 hour shifts
• Weekend rotation: every other or every third weekend, depending on staffing and census
• Holiday rotation: You're required to work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays (unless the unit is closed)
• Weekends and call-back availability expected

Requirements

• 24 months of current Medical-Surgical nursing experience (required)
• Pulmonary patient care experience (required)
• Level II trauma experience (required); Level I trauma experience highly preferred
• Active Iowa state license or compact/multistate license
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Valid driver's license
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or manager within the past 24 months (preferred)

First-time travelers with 2+ years of Med-Surg experience are welcome.
