Labor & Delivery RN — Night Shift | Lewisville, TX

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

This active Labor & Delivery unit provides comprehensive obstetric care, following AWHONN guidelines throughout. The unit manages the full spectrum of L&D cases, including labor management, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, , antepartum care, and iron infusions.

Required Skills (must-have):

• Labor management
• Circulating cesarean sections

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with vaginal deliveries, , and antepartum patient care
• Familiarity with fetal monitoring

Shift & Scheduling Details:

• Night shift staffing includes a charge nurse/CNC, multiple RNs, and OB techs
• On-call requirement: 1–2 shifts per schedule
• Float requirement: occasional float to mother-baby unit as a resource; primary focus remains within the women's service area

Clinical Scope:

• Pitocin administration, C-section delivery and recovery, antepartum monitoring, , and iron infusions
• Practice guided by AWHONN standards

Certifications/Licensure:

• Active RN license (Texas or compact)
• Current BLS required; ACLS/NRP preferred
