Registered Nurse – ICU

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role

The facility's ICU is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct, comprehensive care to critically ill patients. You will assess, monitor, and respond to rapid changes in patient condition while managing advanced life support equipment and collaborating closely with intensivists and the interdisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to high-acuity patients requiring intensive monitoring and hemodynamic support
• Assess and reassess patients, making sound independent clinical decisions and escalating concerns appropriately
• Manage and monitor ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
• Administer medications, including titratable vasoactive and sedation drips, per physician orders
• Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on their condition, treatment plan, and discharge needs
• Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols in a high-acuity environment
• Mentor and support licensed and non-licensed staff members

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• 2+ years of acute care ICU/critical care experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 2+ years of experience with the facility's electronic health record system
• Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• CCRN certification
