Cardiac Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Augusta, GA
Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
Contract Duration: 8 weeks | Start Date: October 26, 2026
About the Unit
This cardiac telemetry unit cares for an adult and geriatric population managing a range of cardiovascular and related conditions, including CHF, post-MI, chest pain (pre- and post-cath), arrhythmias (pre- and post-device implant), sepsis, PE/DVT, peripheral vascular disease, hypertension/hypotension, and pleural effusion. Peritoneal dialysis is performed on the unit.
Clinical Skills Required
- Cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration required)
- Pre/post cardiac cath and cardiac surgery care
- BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
- Central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV care
- Blood product administration, heparin protocols, and IV insulin protocols
- Tracheostomy care, chest tubes, feeding tube management
- Peritoneal dialysis and pre/post hemodialysis management
- Pacemaker management (temporary and permanent)
- Rapid Response/Code team utilization
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience (first-time travelers considered)
- Active Georgia RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Charge experience preferred
- Scrub color: Navy blue
Scheduling Details
- 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
- Float within cardiac telemetry or other units as needed
- No on-call required
- Max 7 days RTO per contract; all RTO must be finalized at submission
- RTO blackout: Spring Break (April 4–12); no RTO during orientation week
- Holiday coverage expected per standard assignment policy
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
