Cardiac Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Telemetry RN for a fast-paced unit serving patients with complex cardiac conditions. This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour nights: 18:45–07:15 (36 hours/week)
- Weekend shifts required: 5–6 over a 6-week period
- Float assignments as needed
- 24-hour unit orientation
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (NC or Compact; pending license acceptable)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years cardiac telemetry, PCU, IMC, or stepdown experience
- EKG testing must be completed prior to start
- First-time travelers welcome
Clinical Scope
Key Responsibilities
- Continuous cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Administer and monitor cardiac drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, diltiazem)
- Perform sheath pulls, TR band, and Femstop procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response
