Medical-Surgical RN — Night Shift | Chattanooga, TN
This 13-week contract places you on a busy Medical-Surgical unit working night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with a 36-hour weekly guarantee. The position is available with a 48-hour guarantee option.
Unit Overview
The unit manages a diverse adult patient population across a broad range of medical conditions, including respiratory diseases, renal disease, GI illnesses, and patients requiring telemetry monitoring. Clinical scope includes care for patients with CVCs, indwelling catheters, and heparin drips. The unit is supported by Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretaries, PCTs, and Case Management.
Schedule & Float
- 4 weekend shifts per 28-day schedule
- Holiday rotation required
- Floating occurs on rotation with other unit staff
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- Medical-Surgical experience, including telemetry, respiratory care, renal and GI patient management, CVC and indwelling catheter care, and heparin drip management
- Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills
