Radiologic Technologist – MRI
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging services with a focus on MRI procedures. You'll work days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) on a 13-week contract, performing patient imaging, prioritizing safety, and ensuring clear communication throughout each procedure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge in X-ray, Fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR radiographic work
- Practice radiation safety using ALARA standards
- Operate imaging equipment per manufacturer specifications
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service calls when needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and billing in the EHR
- Assist with cross-training in other modalities (DEXA, Mammography, CT)
- Support departmental needs including clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transport
- Manage supply inventory
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- ARRT registered in Radiology (R) with CT and MRI certifications
- Current BLS certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- At least 18 years old
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years as a practicing Radiologic Technologist in CT and MRI
- Cross-training in additional modalities
- Familiarity with PACS and RIS/HIS systems
