This telemetry unit specializes in cardiac and neurological patients, receiving post-procedure patients following heart catheterization, pacemaker placement, ablation, watchman procedures, valve repair, and cardioversion. The unit operates at a high clinical standard and is well-supported by a strong core nursing staff.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 3–4 weekend shifts per month; no on-call requirement
- Contract duration: 13 weeks | Anticipated start: October 2025
Clinical Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in:
- EKG interpretation
- IV insertion
- Chest tube management
Preferred experience includes caring for patients post-heart cath, pacemaker, ablation, watchman, valve repair, or cardioversion.
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH Stroke Scale
Float Coverage
May be asked to float to PCU and Med/Surg as needed.
Dress Code
Variable scrub color; no visible piercings.
