Labor & Delivery RN — Night Shift | San Jose, CA
This travel RN opportunity is in a Labor & Delivery unit in San Jose, CA, supporting a range of obstetric and surgical cases on a busy night shift. The position requires a minimum of 4 years of L&D experience and a current California RN license.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Rotating weekends per collective bargaining agreement
- Contract duration: 13 weeks | Start date: August 18, 2026
Clinical Scope
- Vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other L&D OR-related cases
- Staffing model includes Charge Nurse, Unit Clerk, Scrub Tech, and RNs adjusted to patient census
- Patient ratios per California Title 22 regulations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Active California RN license (required at submission)
- BLS certification
- Current resume required at time of submission
