Emergency Department RN — Plano, TX
This is a 13-week travel contract in an active emergency department managing a diverse, high-acuity patient population. The unit handles certified chest pain cases, comprehensive stroke care, trauma response, and accredited burn care, with dedicated treatment areas including trauma bays, a burn room, a psychiatric room, and a vertical treatment area.
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (days)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Texas RN license or compact license (must be eligible)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
- SAMA, CPI, or equivalent (30-day grace period available)
Preferred:
- ENPC certification
Clinical Environment:
- Variable staffing based on census and acuity; a charge nurse is always present
- Collaborative team including RNs, advanced paramedics, EMTs, and unit secretaries
- No floating required; however, cross-training opportunities at a sister facility may be available
Scheduling:
- Self-scheduling model
- 4 weekend shifts per month required
Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs (branded preferred)
