Radiation Therapist – Lodi, CA
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver prescribed ionizing radiation therapy to patients under physician direction. This is a day-shift position with no on-call requirements.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- No call or weekend coverage required
Key Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed radiation therapy following physician orders and treatment plans
- Explain procedures to patients and communicate clearly during treatment
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and immobilization devices according to prescription
- Position patients safely on treatment couches, attending to special needs
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report complications to supervisors and physicians
- Maintain accurate daily treatment records and patient charts
- Provide clinical supervision and evaluation of student practitioners
- Perform related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent
- Current AART-T (Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy)
- Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor
- Current California radiologic technologist license
- Minimum two years recent experience in radiation therapy
- Elekta equipment experience is preferred but not required
