Registered Nurse – Med/Surg
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated patient care on a busy medical-surgical unit. You will supervise and direct assigned nursing staff, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and apply critical thinking and clinical judgment to ensure safe, compassionate care.
Shift & Contract
- Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (night shift)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in California
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- Current ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze patient data; develop individualized care plans
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff across the unit
- Provide direct patient care and health education to patients and families
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in discharge planning
- Delegate effectively and manage team workflow
Clinical Environment
You'll work in a medical-surgical unit delivering care to patients across the acuity spectrum. The role requires strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
