Med/Surg RN or LPN – 12-Hour Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility's medical/surgical unit seeks experienced RNs and LPNs for a 12-hour night shift role (6:45 PM–7:15 AM). This is a 13-week contract with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Unit Description

Schedule & Staffing

• 12-hour nights, every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights)
• Holiday shifts rotate with the regular staff
• Floating to other units as needed to support facility operations
• Manager-created schedule with flexibility for block scheduling preferences

Requirements

• Current RN or LPN license
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIHSS certification required for all RNs and LPNs
• ACLS and PALS recommended (not required)
• Strong med/surg background to manage varied patient acuity and diagnoses
• No call or standby requirement

Orientation & Onboarding

3–5 days of unit-specific orientation including manager overview, tour, policy review, and training from education, pharmacy, and lab departments.

Dress Code

Any scrub color except camouflage or orange.
