Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract starting October 23, 2026. You'll provide direct patient care in a busy med/surg telemetry unit with the potential to float to other units caring for the same patient population.
Shift & Schedule
- Rotating 3×12-hour shifts
- Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Shifts may rotate as needed to meet operational demands
- Must work at least every other holiday
Clinical Scope
You'll manage patients on telemetry monitoring, delivering comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced med/surg environment. Responsibilities include:
- Direct patient care and ECG rhythm recognition
- Medication administration and patient education
- Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team on individualized care plans
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months permanent experience in med/surg or telemetry nursing
- Active Ohio or compact state RN license (in hand at submission)
- Current BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director from past 12 months)
Assessments
During orientation, you'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment. Acceptable scores on both are required to continue.
Contract Details
13-week assignment with potential to extend up to 18 months. Background check and drug screen required.
