RN – Med-Surg Acute Care/Observation Unit

Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced RN for our Med-Surg Acute Care/Observation Unit. You'll provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with acute and chronic illnesses, utilizing the nursing process to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans. Our census is growing due to increased orthopedic surgeries and hybrid procedures, and we need skilled nurses to join the team.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts, rotating weekends
• Call rotation: 1 call shift per 2-week period (in place of guaranteed hours that week, as needed)
• 13-week contract
• Start date: October 27, 2026

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Acute Care, Med-Surg, Telemetry, or similar RN experience
• Current RN License valid in Colorado
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current Flu Vaccine (no exemptions; required October 1 – April 1)
• Permanent address at least 75 miles from the facility
• CAPS registration (Colorado) – apply immediately; processing takes up to 2 weeks

What We're Looking For

You bring strong clinical assessment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple patients in a dynamic acute care setting. You're comfortable with a rotating weekend schedule and willing to participate in the call rotation as staffing needs arise.
