Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) — Travel RN | Denver, CO

This seasonal travel assignment places you in a fast-paced PICU caring for critically ill pediatric patients. The unit manages high-acuity cases including respiratory failure, post-operative cardiac patients, and children requiring intensive monitoring and intervention.

Assignment Details

  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
  • Start Date: November 16, 2026

Clinical Scope

Typical procedures and care responsibilities include:

  • Conscious sedation management
  • Care of respiratory failure, including endotracheal tube and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation management
  • Central line maintenance and care
  • Central venous catheter placement support
  • Venous puncture

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of current PICU RN experience
  • Active BLS and PALS certifications
  • Current RN licensure in Colorado (or compact eligibility)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-operative cardiac experience
  • Venous puncture proficiency
