Emergency Department RN — Utica, NY | 13-Week Contract

Join a fast-paced Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population ranging from newborns and pediatrics through adults and geriatrics. This high-acuity ED manages a broad spectrum of presentations including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure, with SANE responsibilities included in the RN scope of practice.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour evenings, 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed

Unit Details

• Floating required
• Charge capability highly preferred
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Clinical Scope

• Proficiency with vasopressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine), and sedation agents (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), plus TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
• Experience with rapid infusion and targeted temperature management equipment expected

Requirements

• 2+ years of ED experience with some pediatric exposure
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active, unencumbered New York RN license (NURSYS verification required)
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• Electronic health record proficiency required
• Must reside 75+ miles from facility (local candidates also considered)
