Medical-Surgical Nurse
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Medical-Surgical RN for a 13-week assignment on a busy MS unit. You'll provide post-operative and acute care to adult patients across a range of surgical diagnoses and conditions.
Unit Details
- Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, day 12x3 schedule
- Floating: Required
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 weekly
Clinical Scope
You'll manage patients in post-surgical recovery and acute care phases, including those with abdominal pain, orthopedic injuries, bariatric surgery recovery, and other post-op diagnoses. You'll work with IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes as part of routine care delivery.
Requirements
- Active RN license in New York (current NURSYS verification required)
- 2+ years of medical-surgical nursing experience
- Documented travel nursing experience
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Driver's license with matching demographics
- Valid RTO (Request Time Off) documentation at submission
