Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Asheville, NC

This medical-surgical telemetry unit provides care for a diverse adult patient population requiring close cardiac monitoring alongside general med-surg management. The unit operates with a collaborative team structure, with the charge nurse functioning in a supervisory/support capacity to assist floor staff.

Clinical Scope & Procedures

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Peripheral IV starts and maintenance
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Standard medical-surgical nursing skills

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Medical-surgical nursing experience (required)
• Telemetry experience (required)
• Charge nurse experience (preferred)
• BLS certification (required)

Schedule & Expectations

• Weekend commitment: every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• No on-call required
• Travelers float before permanent staff to other medical-surgical units and ED holding areas

Dress Code

All navy, all white, or white top with navy pants; navy or white undershirts permitted
