CVOR RN – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced CVOR RN to join a busy cardiovascular operating room. You'll work in a high-volume surgical environment performing open heart, TAVR, endovascular, and thoracic cases.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour days: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
- One weekday call per week (30-minute response time; on-site call room available)
- One weekend call per month (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) in rotation
- Float to General OR as needed when CVOR cases are unavailable
- Shifts negotiable; guaranteed 36 hours per week
Clinical Scope
- Average 30 cases daily across 16 suites (1–2 open heart cases per day)
- Scrubbing required: you'll hold the heart and assist with chest closure
- RNs only scrub in CVOR
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS certification (AHA)
- ACLS preferred
- Open heart and/or endovascular experience required
Contract Details
- 13-week assignment
- One week unit-specific orientation (must be in state for orientation week)
- Hospital-provided light blue scrubs
- Cancellation policy: facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week contract
