Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse – 12-Week Contract
The Opportunity
The facility is seeking experienced Med/Surg nurses for a 12-week assignment covering a float pool across medical and surgical units. You'll work 12-hour day shifts (7a–7p) with every-other-weekend scheduling.
Unit Overview
Key Details
- Certification: BLS (AHA) required
- Experience: Medical/surgical background and large hospital experience required. Travel nursing experience necessary.
- Floating: Required to all Med/Surg units as needed
- Support: Charge nurse on every shift (takes assignment); patient care techs present (ratio varies); respiratory available for equipment assistance
- Telemetry: Occasional strip reading only; no continuous monitoring
- Orientation: 3 shifts of unit-specific training
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs (not provided)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Scheduling
- Shifts assigned based on unit needs
- Every other weekend required
- No call or standby
- Hospital may cancel up to 3 shifts during this contract period
