EP/Cath Lab Technician
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced EP (electrophysiology) technician to join a combined EP/Cath Lab team. You'll scrub and monitor complex cardiac procedures in a high-volume setting, managing 20–25 patients per day across seven labs.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, four 10-hour days per week
- On-call: Approximately 7–9 weekday calls per month (30-minute response time); one weekend per month for Cath Lab coverage (EP Lab has no weekend call)
- Duration: 8-week contract
- Scheduling: Staff-scheduled; no self-scheduling
Required Qualifications
- ARRT and/or RCIS/RCES certification (Arkansas limited X-ray license acceptable if no ARRT)
- BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Demonstrated competency in EP procedures: device implants, ablations, and LAAO cases
- Strong foundation in EP lab operations, pacing, and ablation techniques
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and monitor electrophysiology lab cases
- Support device implantation and ablation procedures
- Collaborate with cardiologists and clinical team in a fast-paced environment
Unit Details
- Three dedicated EP labs, three cath labs, plus one procedure room
- Manager and charge nurse on each shift (manager does not take patient assignments)
- Float requirements limited to the Cath Lab only; no IR rotation
- Four shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
- Hospital scrubs provided (ceil blue)
