Registered Nurse – Cardiac ICU

Position Overview

Join the cardiac ICU team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill cardiac patients. You'll implement individualized care plans, monitor patient outcomes, administer orders, and lead discharge planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Unit Details

This cardiac ICU specializes in high-acuity cardiac surgery and advanced heart failure patients, including open heart recovery, heart transplants, LVAD implants, ECMO support, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring. You'll manage patients on devices such as IABP, Impella, Swan-Ganz catheters, and CRRT. Scrubs are navy.

Schedule & Contract

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Float Requirement: PRN float to MICU, SICU, medical stepdown, or cardiac stepdown units

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (verification required)
• Preferred experience with cardiac advanced device therapy management, including minimum experience with IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz monitoring

What You'll Need

Standard onboarding requirements include immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap), TB screening, background check, drug screen, and facility-specific competency assessments including EKG and specialty exams.
