Neuro ICU – Travel RN | Night Shift | Jackson, TN

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour (18:45–07:15)

This Neuro ICU position focuses on complex neurological patients including post-TPA, acute stroke, post-neurosurgery, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury cases. The unit serves adult and geriatric populations and is supported by an interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, rapid response, and IV teams.

Clinical Skills & Scope

Candidates should be proficient in:

• Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
• Arterial line and central line management
• ICP monitoring and external ventricular drain (EVD) care
• Hypothermia protocol management
• Titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips
• Blood product administration and continuous IV sedation
• Interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmia management
• High-flow nasal cannula and BiPAP/CPAP management

Schedule & Float Requirements

• Three weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; holiday availability required
• Float to other ICUs, Med/Surg/Telemetry, and Progressive Care units is mandatory with no exceptions

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg/Telemetry experience
• Valid Tennessee or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at start
• Charting system experience within the past 18 months is required and must be documented on your profile; a competency exam will be administered (one attempt only)
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); flu vaccine required with no exemptions
