Respiratory Therapist – Travel Contract | Windsor, VT
Shift: Three 12-hour days (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) | Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 36 hours/week
Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: October 26, 2026
About the Role
This travel Respiratory Therapist opportunity is set in a critical access hospital serving a pediatric-to-geriatric patient population. The position requires a high degree of clinical independence across diverse patient care areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation equipment
- Draw arterial blood gases (ABGs) and perform airway management, including intubation assistance
- Administer various PAP modalities and high-flow oxygen therapy
- Conduct pulmonary function tests (PFTs) — preferred but negotiable
- Support home sleep testing and pulmonary rehabilitation (willingness to learn required)
Requirements
- RRT credential — CRTs will not be considered
- Minimum 2 years of current Registered Respiratory Therapy experience
- Active NBRC certification
- Active Vermont RRT license (must be submitted with profile)
- AHA BLS certification
- At least 6 months of prior travel experience (highly preferred)
- Personal vehicle required
Scheduling Notes
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of profile upload — requests made during or after interview will not be approved
- Maximum 5 days of requested time off accepted
- Must be available to work at least two of the following holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving/post-Thanksgiving weekend; Christmas Eve through Christmas weekend; New Year's Eve through New Year's weekend
